AOC attributes NYC’s ‘uptick in crime’ to people stealing bread to feed their kids

AOC claims the alarming surge in NYC murders is because hungry people are “stealing bread” and not because she and other Black Lives Matter activists have demonized the police. (screenshot/Pixabay) Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was lampooned for suggesting that the recent 130% spike in deadly NYC shootings was due to coronavirus-induced unemployment — and not on her and other Black Lives Matter operatives’ reckless campaign to “Defund the Police .”

AOC (aka – “ Bronx Bolshevik “) made the disingenuous comments to deflect blame for the mass slaughters of black people occurring in Democrat-run cities around the country.

In a virtual town hall meeting on Zoom, AOC desperately tried to shift the blame for the alarming surge in shootings and murders in Democrat-run cities where police have been pulled back.

“Do we think this has to do with the fact that there’s record unemployment in the United States right now?” AOC wondered. “The fact that people are at a level of economic desperation that we have not seen since the Great Recession?”

Reminder: In April, “environmentalist” AOC — who claims cow farts are destroying the planet — gleefully celebrated skyrocketing unemployment in the oil industry, which lost one million jobs due to panic-induced shutdowns. (Source: Zoom)

Ocasio-Cortez then invoked Victor Hugo’s iconic novel “Les Misérables,” by suggesting that the massive escalation in NYC murders was due to hungry people stealing bread.

In “Les Misérables,” the impoverished protagonist is sentenced to jail for stealing bread to feed his starving family.

AOC said: “Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren’t paying their rent and are scared to pay their rent. And so they go out, and they need to feed their child and they don’t have money, so they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry.” The confused Ocasio-Cortez […]
